Stickers

Stickers are colour emoji you place on a board, for reactions and decoration. They are stored in the board, so placed stickers work offline and appear in exports.

Open the Stickers drawer

Click Stickers on the tool rail. The drawer opens on the side.

  • Set chooses the emoji style: Fluent, Twemoji or Noto. Fluent is the default.
  • Search stickers filters the current set. Results appear after a short pause.
  • A note under the grid names the licence. Some sets need attribution if you publish your board. Licences opens a list of every set and what its licence asks for.

Place a sticker

  • Click a sticker to add it at the centre of your view. Each further click steps the new sticker a little right and down from the last one, so they do not pile up. The steps start again at the centre of the view after you move the view a step away, or after you move or delete the last sticker placed.
  • Or drag it onto the board where you want it.

A sticker is larger than a normal icon so it reads at a glance. Select it to move, resize (it keeps its proportions), rotate, duplicate, lock or delete it, like any other object. You can also put one inside a frame.

Stickers have no colour control. The colour comes from the emoji. The properties panel is titled Sticker for a selected sticker.

Reactions

To react to something on the board:

  1. Select the note, shape or other object.
  2. Click React with a sticker in the quick-action bar.
  3. Pick one of the 16 reactions, such as a thumbs up, heart, party popper, eyes or fire.

A small sticker is placed beside the top right corner of your selection. It does not follow the object if you move it later, and it has no counter. Delete it like any object, or undo.

Offline

Stickers already on the board always display, including in PNG and SVG exports, with or without a connection.

The drawer works offline once you download the sticker sets to this device:

  1. Open the Stickers drawer.
  2. Below the grid, the Sticker sets row says how much data the download uses and has a Download for offline button. The row is hidden in browsers that have no offline storage.
  3. Click Download for offline. The row shows the progress, for example "Downloading Sticker sets: 40 of 120 files", with a bar. Click Cancel to stop. The download carries on if you close the drawer.
  4. When it finishes, the row says the sets are available offline.

With the sets downloaded, searching and previews work without a connection, for all three sets (Fluent, Twemoji and Noto).

  • Remove on the same row deletes the offline copy. The sets stay available online, and stickers already on boards are not affected.
  • If the server has a newer version of the sets, the row says an update is available. Update downloads only the files that changed, and Remove is still there.
  • If the device does not have enough free storage, the download stops with a message saying so.

You do not have to download to use a sticker you have already seen: the browser keeps each sticker image you load. A sticker from a set you have neither downloaded nor viewed does not load until you are back online.

If the drawer cannot load a set or a preview, it says why and shows Retry. It also tries again when your connection returns.
